How Would you Solve This Problem?
What is the most effective way to help those with limited resources establish and maintain good health?
On this blog I offer thoughts and suggest innovations that appear to be working here in Charlotte, around the country, or on the other side of the planet.
But what do you think?
At Care Ring we approach this question from multiple angles. Ifproviding access to high quality, affordable care is your favored approach, we offer our low-cost clinic in uptown Charlotte. Our doors are open to all.
If establishing coordinated care through a network of primary, specialty and hospital-based care is your preferred approach, we manage the Physicians Reach Out program on behalf of more than 1,500 physicians and dentists across the region who volunteer their services to care for the indigent.
If your favored approach is to focus on prevention, our Nurse-Family Partnership program goes way upstream, helping low-income families establish healthy behaviors even before their first child is born.
But what would you focus on to make the biggest difference in the health and wellness of those with limited resources in Charlotte?
Access to quality food, walkable streets, improved housing, more stable family structures, expansion of Medicaid…there are countless ideas on ways we can help those who are less fortunate establish and maintain good health.
What do you think is the single most important action that would improve health and wellness for those with limited resources?
I welcome your thoughts, ideas, off-the-wall quirky suggestions...and…Go!
